Life & Legacy Panel Discussion
Thursday, February 27, 7PM

The Jewish Foundation of Memphis will host a Life & Legacy Professional Advisors Panel Discussion at Beth Sholom Synagogue. Our own members, Laura Linder as the Moderator, Sandy Friedman, Mitchell Lansky, and Anthony Morrison, will serve as panelists, sharing insights and answering questions on how congregants can make a legacy gift to Beth Sholom as part of their financial and estate planning. This event is informational and open to members of all ages. It’s a great opportunity to learn how you can help secure the future vitality of Beth Sholom for generations to come.

Hamentaschen Pre-Sale

Beth Sholom Sisterhood is taking advance orders for their delicious Hamentaschen (Apple, Poppy, Chocolate, Strawberry, Apricot, & Raspberry), $16 per dozen (minimum order 1 dozen).

Pick up dates: March 4, 5-7 PM, March 6, 11 AM-3 PM & March 9, 11 AM-2 PM

Torah Fund Brunch
Sunday, March 2, 11AM

Join us as we celebrate the incredible achievements of Janet Rubin, Woman of Valor, and Barbara Hellman, Light of Torah! The evening will feature the soulful performance of Eliana Light singing "Songs from the Heart."

  • $36 Minimum Donation for new Torah Fund donors

Shake, Rattle n’ Roll into Purim 5785
Thursday, March 13, 6PM

Let’s take a step back to 1955—the year Beth Sholom began rocking and rolling! Join us as we celebrate 70 years of Beth Sholom with a vibrant, 50’s-themed Purim party. Enjoy a delicious dinner, dance to classic 50’s tunes, rock around the Hamentaschen, and experience a lively Megillah reading. Costumes are encouraged for all ages. Let’s make this Purim celebration one for the history books!

Mishloach Manot Exchange

Being a part of our fabulous Mishloach Manot exchange is a wonderful mitzvah! Once you’ve signed up you’ll be assigned two other members to give Mishloach Manot to, and you’ll receive as well.

Lehrhaus Series-Rescheduled
Tuesday, March 18, 7PM

In the latest installment of the Lehrhaus series, Dr. Jeffrey H. Jackson, author of Paper Bullets: Two Artists Who Risked Their Lives to Defy the Nazis, will give a compelling lecture about a courageous couple who waged psychological warfare against Nazi soldiers. He will also explore their groundbreaking lives as lesbian partners, shedding light on their incredible bravery and resilience during a dark chapter of history.

Recurring Programs

Lunch & Learn
Thursdays, 12-1

Lunch ‘n’ Learn is a mid-day learning session with Rabbi Sarit Horwitz. The group has studied Mishna together, various books of the Bible, Midrash, and more. Come join for an interactive and lively discussion! This session is in-person, and those that would like to join on Zoom can click here.

Kulanu
Shabbat mornings at 10am

Kulanu is our weekly Shabbat experience for school age kids grades 2-5. We experience Shabbat as a community through music, stories and activities. Once a month we hold Family Kulanu where adults are invited to join their kiddos. Kulanu meets during the school year.

Tot Shabbat
Shabbat mornings at 10am

Tot Shabbat is an opportunity for our youngest learners and their adults to celebrate Shabbat together and connect through routines and rituals. Each session includes music, Torah, yoga and opportunities for lots of movement. Tot Shabbat meets during the school year.
